Is anybody excited about it or is it just us??
Now that all the hurrah is done and the new year is here, it’s time to take a look at what the next year has in store.
New Years Resolutions
Do you have your New Years resolutions done? Did you include a cyber security resolution ??
If not, Why not?
If nothing else, we’ve seen from 2018 that being on top of your cyber security is important.
Regardless of who you are, what you do, or how much you use the Internet and connected devices,
One easy way to begin is to choose one thing, and make a resolution to give that one thing priority. Then go and do it.
Resolutions don’t have to be lofty…
It doesn’t have to be a lofty resolution, start with something simple:
- Making a complex password for every new password created this year; Changing all your passwords to be different at every site and keeping them that way.
- Finally figuring out how to change the wireless router configuration and change the default password.
- Review the Terms of Service and Privacy policies of all the cloud and online services you use. How do these affect your security and your privacy?
- Reviewing every social media post to make sure it’s not revealing anything it shouldn’t
Just like going to the gym more, or getting your finances shape, it’s not that hard if you break it down into a plan..
… And the execute that plan.
So, let’s make 2019 the year you do something about your cyber security.
Make a security resolution this year and follow though. The results may not be as immediate as the number on the scale, but when they do show themselves.. You’ll be glad you took the time to put the effort in.
Now, what are you going to do for your Cyber Security in 2019?
